There is no Ozempic pill. Ozempic is Novo Nordisk's once-weekly semaglutide injection, FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes. The tablet form of the same molecule as Ozempic, made by the same company, FDA-approved to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes. If your prescriber means a daily semaglutide tablet for diabetes, this is the product. It is not approved for weight management and this site does not present it as a weight-loss option.
Wegovy pill (oral semaglutide, weight management)
The 25 mg daily semaglutide tablet FDA-approved in December 2025 for chronic weight management. This is the product most people searching "Ozempic pill" for weight are actually looking for. Novo's self-pay program lists it from $149/mo, dose-dependent (checked 2026-08-14). Every program that dispenses it is on the Wegovy pill page.
Compounded semaglutide tablets
Tablets, dissolving tablets and drops made by compounding pharmacies. Not FDA-approved, no published trial data for the oral formulation, and not an "Ozempic" anything, whatever the listing says. Format by format on the oral semaglutide page.
Ozempic itself, if that is what you were prescribed
The injection. Novo's self-pay program lists it at pen $199/mo for the first two 0.25 mg or 0.5 mg fills through December 31, 2026, then $349/mo at 0.25-1 mg or $499/mo at 2 mg (checked 2026-08-14), and its own page there also lists a pill from $149/mo, dose-dependent, which is the Novo semaglutide tablet, not an Ozempic-branded one.
