Three things called oral semaglutide
Wegovy pill (25 mg once daily, weight management)
Novo Nordisk's tablet, FDA-approved in December 2025. In the OASIS 4 trial participants lost a mean 16.6% of body weight at 68 weeks alongside diet and exercise. Self-pay through NovoCare is from $149/mo, dose-dependent (checked 2026-08-14). Program-by-program on the Wegovy pill page.
Rybelsus (type 2 diabetes)
Novo Nordisk's earlier semaglutide tablet, FDA-approved to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes. It is not approved for weight management, and this site does not present it as a weight-loss option. It appears in a listing only where a program dispenses it for its approved use.
Compounded oral semaglutide (tablets, dissolving tablets, drops)
Made by compounding pharmacies under a prescription. Not FDA-approved, and no compounded oral formulation has published trial data; the weight-loss figures quoted for semaglutide come from the injectable and Wegovy-pill trials. Absorption through the mouth or gut differs by formulation, which is why a tablet, a dissolving tablet and drops are listed separately below rather than as one product.

Two: the Wegovy pill for chronic weight management and Rybelsus for type 2 diabetes. Both are Novo Nordisk products. Every other "semaglutide tablet" sold online is compounded.
