GLP-1 pills in 2026: 26 programs, which pill each one sells, and what it costs
Two FDA-approved GLP-1 pills exist for weight management, the Wegovy pill and Foundayo, plus Rybelsus for type 2 diabetes; everything else sold as an "oral GLP-1" is compounded and not FDA-approved. 26 telehealth programs we track dispense at least one of them as of September 3, 2026. 7 publish a complete oral price, the lowest being $147/mo at Wellorithm (Compounded Semaglutide Oral Dissolving Tablet); the manufacturers' own programs list the Wegovy pill from $149/mo, dose-dependent and Foundayo from $149/mo, dose-dependent.

Which GLP-1 pill is which
The word "pill" covers four different products, and only two of them carry weight-management trial data.
Wegovy pill (oral semaglutide, 25 mg once daily)
Novo Nordisk's tablet form of the same molecule as injectable Wegovy, FDA-approved in December 2025 for chronic weight management. In the OASIS 4 trial participants lost a mean 16.6% of body weight at 68 weeks alongside diet and exercise. Novo's own self-pay program lists the pill at from $149/mo, dose-dependent (NovoCare, checked 2026-08-14). Every program that dispenses it on this page is listed with the pill as a separate line from its membership, because that is how they bill it. Program-level detail on the Wegovy pill page.
Foundayo (orforglipron, once daily)
Eli Lilly's non-peptide GLP-1 receptor agonist, FDA-approved April 1, 2026, and the only approved GLP-1 pill with no fasting rule around the dose. In the ATTAIN-1 trial the mean loss was 12.4% of body weight at 72 weeks. LillyDirect self-pay is $149/mo at 0.8 mg; $199/mo at 2.5 mg; $299/mo at 5.5 mg or 9 mg; $299/mo at 14.5 mg or 17.2 mg when refilled within 45 days, otherwise $349/mo (LillyDirect, checked 2026-08-14). Program-level detail on the Foundayo page.
Rybelsus (oral semaglutide, type 2 diabetes)
Novo Nordisk's earlier semaglutide tablet, FDA-approved to improve blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes. It is not approved for weight management, and this site does not treat it as a weight-loss option; it appears in a program's listing only when the program itself dispenses it for its approved use.
Compounded oral semaglutide and oral tirzepatide
Tablets, dissolving tablets, sublingual drops and gum made by compounding pharmacies under a prescription. None is FDA-approved, none has published trial data for the oral formulation, and the weight-loss figures quoted for these molecules come from the injectable trials. They are the cheapest rows on this page for exactly that reason. Format-by-format detail on the oral semaglutide and oral tirzepatide pages.
Every program that dispenses a GLP-1 pill (26)
Sorted by price within each group. A partial price means the program publishes the pill or the membership, not both; the note on the row says which.

Questions worth asking before you buy
Which GLP-1 pill is best for weight loss?
Only two are approved for it, and the published trials were run separately, so no head-to-head result exists. OASIS 4 reported 16.6% mean loss on the Wegovy pill at 68 weeks; ATTAIN-1 reported 12.4% on Foundayo at 72 weeks. Different trials, different populations, different durations. The clinical choice belongs with a prescriber; what this page can tell you is which programs carry each pill and what they charge.
Is there an Ozempic pill?
No. Ozempic is an injection approved for type 2 diabetes. Novo Nordisk's oral semaglutide products are Rybelsus, for type 2 diabetes, and the Wegovy pill, for weight management. A program advertising an "Ozempic pill" is describing one of those or a compounded product; the Ozempic pill page lists which.
What is the cheapest GLP-1 pill?
The lowest complete oral price we track is $147/mo at Wellorithm (Compounded Semaglutide Oral Dissolving Tablet), a compounded product with no trial data of its own. Among approved pills, the manufacturers' own self-pay programs list Foundayo from $149/mo and the Wegovy pill from $149/mo, dose-dependent, before any telehealth membership, and both rise with dose.
Do the pills work as well as the injections?
For the approved pills the trial results above are the honest answer, and they were not run head-to-head against the injections. For compounded orals the answer is unknown: no compounded oral semaglutide or tirzepatide has published efficacy data for its formulation.
Prices and formats read from our provider database and verified on the dates shown in each review; manufacturer prices from NovoCare and LillyDirect on the dates shown above.
